  • If you are not aware, Nuance Communications are responsible for many of the apps and services you use constantly. Nuance Communications Inc. is a multinational company based in Massachusetts, USA. Nuance develops speech recognition software and imaging for all platforms on the market at this time. Do you think you haven’t used Nuance products? Well, you’re wrong. From the Nokia T9 to the the software that comes included with the purchase of a scanner for PC, Nuance has contributed to all of these and more.

Nuance have also purchased Swipe and are currently behind the development of one of the most used software keyboards for Android. Dragon Go! is Nuance’s response to all the voice assistant’s we’ve seen lately, from Apple’s Siri to Google Now. Dragon Go! is an app that you interact with by voice and is capable of understanding your intent and delivers the results you want within seconds. It features smart natural language understanding functionality that knows what you want simply by how you say it.

Dragon Go! has been available on iOS and now it has arrived for Android. Unfortunately it is only available for Android 4.0 and above and only in English. It seems to work pretty decent, though the UI somewhat lags and is not that attractive at all. At least it understands English very well and displays the results reasonably fast. New features and further compatibility improvements will be coming later this year.
