  • Android smartphones these days, in the mid to high level category most provides an HDMI out solution, either through the most popular MHL or other implementation. Though MHL connectivity is a very convenient solution, that requires only the purchasing of a cable as it is not provided by default in most cases, it still is not as ergonomic as it could be if the solution would not require a cable. Fortunately, now a first of its type implementation is available, to provide a full-framerate experience with your Android device. The bad news is that it only functions on rooted devices, as it needs access to some advanced system settings.

Team BBQ provides the app called BBQScreen, that is a easy to use solution that  lets you see your Android device’s screen on your computer at full speed  The app is able to work with both a USB connection, as well as through Wireless and Bluetooth, basically all forms of connectivity. Once installed you only need to connect to the provided network address and you are good to go. On top of that there are also adjustable settings for the display’s quality, able to provide a much smoother experience, and the possibility to keep the screen on at all times through the procedure. For little over $2 BBQScreen can now be purchase through the Play Store.
