Nexus 7 Mod Enables 720p Video Recording (Video)

  • The features that Google and Asus implemented on the Nexus 7 tablet do not include camera performance. In fact, the device is lacking a rear image sensor and with the one on the front side the performance is mediocre at best. The thing is that the hardware camera is capable of 720p video recording though the feature is not implemented.


    XDA Developers recognized developer hillbeast has found a way to enable 720p video recording on the Nexus 7. The front image sensor is capable of this performance just fine and it’s only a matter of tweaking the software to work. Following the source link you will find a .zip file to install using your custom recovery. The OP has also posted instructions for enabling 720p video recording by manually patching the system files.
