  • It appears that someone at Google took the casual Friday thing too seriously and pressed the wrong button, since the Nexus 5 just popped on the Google Play Store with a starting price of $350 for the 16 GB version.

As you know there have been speculations over the past days regarding a launch of the device either on the 28th or the 18th of this month. Said speculations started when the likes of Nestle started posting on the web some hints regarding the launch, like “This is it”, a clear reference to Michael Jackson’s movie and “Everybody Dance Now”, a hit that came out on October 18th in the 1990s.

So, this means the debut could happen today. In the meantime, we notice that the Nexus 4 was gone from the Play Store when the Nexus 5 appeared, so it replaced it. Things we know about the Nexus 5 include the fact it features a 4.95 inch Full HD screen, a Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM and an 8 megapixel camera with revolutionary features, as well as Android 4.4 KitKat, obviously.
