  • We’ve been taking our Android L fix here and there, by getting a keyboard port or other aspects of the OS as downloadable feats, but today we get an entire launcher to play with. The Nova Launcher has been updated to integrate some Android L features, apparently.

Developer TeslaCoil updated the Nova Launcher Beta a few weeks ago, introducing some fresh UI elements, borrowed fro the Android L preview. Today we get a stable version of that release, with Android L tweaks officially available. You can now use vertical folder previews, the new app drawer icon, the Android L app transitions and the usual package of optimizations and bug fixes.

There’s also a lighter shade of Google Search widget available and you can download all the goodies from here. You can also add to the Android L look by getting the Moonshine icon pack or the system wide themes from ROMs like CyanogenMod. Among others, Nova launcher lets you do infinite scrolling, place widgets in the dock, import desktop layouts and have a scrollable dock.
