  • Kevin Barry aka developer TeslaCoil has released a new Nova Launcher beta version (3.1 beta 1), that brings new app drawer transition animations. Kevin has made the announcement on his community page on Google+, recommending testers to try out the new software.

The new beta brings circle reveal, slide up, zoom and fade among app drawer transition animations. In order to activate them you need to select Nova Settings, then Drawer, Transition Animation and then the animation you like. There are also extra app drawer tweaks, such as the ability to search in the app drawer or show the recently installed apps or updated apps without searching.

The developer did say that it will be a while before we see this release on the Play Store, but in the meantime you can get a taste of the last update of the app here. One of the last updates also brought some design features borrowed straight from Android L. If you have Nova installed, you can access its Settings and select Check for Updates and then pick beta.
