  • Bandai just launched a new app, a Tamagotchi app in order to celebrate decades of the existence of the famous digital pet. The game is called Tamagotchi L.i.f.e and it places a virtual pet on your device, recreating the experience of pocket pals from the late 90s.

Namco Bandai offers an app that takes up 15 MB of space and it’s available for free, but not in every country, from what I understood. Apparently only in Canada and USA you can get the app, but it may also expand to other countries soon. You can create the virtual pet of your dreams, change its colors, make it interact with other pets and play with your cute little companion. The original Tamagotchi characters are featured and you get a digital pet collection, plus a bunch of signature wallpapers to collect.

You can share Tamagotchi pets on Facebook and enable notifications, that will let you know when the little fellow needs feeding, playing or changing. He’ll take a nap, he’ll grow and he may even play with other ‘gotchis. So, how many of you had such a toy back in the days? You can get the app from here.
