  • A new year has started and everyone is buying new calendars and preparing for the fresh year with resolutions, plans and decisions. You can move on to a new way of planning your time with the aid of an app called Zime. This beta application is a 3D to do list with a calendar area, that looks very stylish.

Gesture control and a flashy interface define the experience here. Zime will automatically connect to your Google Calendar and it will display the events in an interface that resembles some sort of 3D carousel. You can add events to the Google Calendar from Zime and keep track of your tasks, to be notified when they have to be done. Pinch to zoom is supported for expanding each day and its plans and details. Zooming out allows you to see more days at once.

Zime is only available as a beta app on phones for now, it doesn’t cost a dime and requires Android 4.0 ICS and up. It takes up 1.3 MB of storage and it supports syncing with all types of calendars, dynamic scheduling (the tasks follow the flow of time), prioritizing tasks and debriefing on previous weeks. The app is up for download here, with the mention that there are some problems/crashes on the Galaxy S III and Note.
