  • Don’t you wish there was an automatic way of letting your girlfriend or co-workers know that you’re going to be late? Now there is… through an app called Twist. The application is available for free in the Google Play Store and it allows you to let the others know that you’re on your way.

Twist will alert the ones close to you that you’re almost at the meeting spot and that you’re running late. The app requires Android 4.0 or later and it takes up less than 3 MB of storage. Since this app is dependent on continuous use of the GPS, it may use it up more than a fair share of the battery life, so you should take that into account. Twist also uses a proprietary GPS and cell tower data algorithm to minimize battery drain, when possible.

The software is simple and it includes a map, a list of people, a messages section and a list of favourite places. Once you start walking or driving to the destination that you’re already too late for, the Twisting will start and people will know of your delay. You can get this very useful app from here.
