  • The Kii Keyboard is an user-friendly method of input that can easily replace the standard Android keyboard and it’s a fresh app in the Play Store. The interface is very clean, well organized and has an interesting organization of symbols, plus an arrow-based navigation method around the typing area.

The keyboard offers accurate and smart predictions, user defined shortcuts and even an extra number key row and an extra row of arrows. The maker of the keyboard compares its prediction to Swiftkey and also claims that this input method involves gesture control. The app requires Android 2.1 and up, it’s available for free and takes up 6.8 MB of storage. There are 8 built in HD Themes, font and color customization, Jelly Bean 4.2 keyboard and no less than 34 supported languages.

So basically we’re dealing with a combo between the swipe input of Swype, word prediction of SwiftKey and split key layout for tablets, like some other popular apps. Emoji are also available and you can even change the background image for your keyboard. Kii is a very nice alternative for a modern Android keyboard, that you can download from here.
