  • The most popular feature of any Android device is the use of widgets. These special means of control can help users act or view the most important info without having to go through menus. Still with the passing of time this feature is evolving to offer new ways of user interaction.

Though widgets are used very efficiently on the homescreen one limitation to any is that one can use it only by going back to the start page when needed. Fortunately there are ways to get over this inconvenience and one is particularly efficient and barely arrived on the Play Store. Developer dapaua calls it WidgetShade.

WidgetShade was made so that Android users can have their favorite widgets available at all times. The app places a trigger area on the bottom corner of the homescreen that can be activated with a swipe. There is also a shortcut in the notification area for quick access to the apps overlay. Once activated, WidgetShade appears in the form of a transparent screen, where you can place and arrange your widgets. You can call upon it at any time and work with the widgets at your disposal.  The app is available for free on the Play Store and offers the possibility to upgrade to the Pro version.
