  • There are plenty of apps that will display the latest news for you in the most attractive formatting possible. Let’s not forget about Flipboard that manages to stay ahead or the new Press for Google reader we’ve recently encountered. Let’s talk a bit about a new offer.

Umano by SoThree, Inc. hasn’t been available for long but it managed to get itself delighted for a week on the front page of Google Play. The rather unique function that the app offers is the ability to have the news read to you in multiple ways. In terms of looks, the app provides a clean and very well designed interface. You will manage and browse the news feeds with ease, though some more advanced options for this type of app are missing due to its orientation.

With Umano the news are managed as playlists that you can even download and listen in offline mode. The app also provides the social element and the options to see what your friends are listening to. You can of course share any article you want. The app provides options for news feed personalisation o by selecting categories and creating playlists. Overall it a great experience and most will enjoy having it while on the road or at home.

Umano: News Read to You is provided for free on the Play Store.
