  • Well, here we are at Android Pipe, with our first video review, for a great Android game. Meet N.O.V.A 3, a great sci-fi FPS, that’s available in Google Play Store for $7 and occupies 2GB of free memory on your tablet or phone. The shooter has Kal Wardin as the main character, as he returns to Earth when called by an old friend, Yelena.

Earth has been abandoned and conquered by the enemies, the Volterite. This is the alien race that you’ll fight all over the game. There are 10 levels available in the single player mode, tons of weapons to use (shotgun, pistol, riffle, rocket launcher, grenade launcher, sniper and more). The on screen controls are simple, in spite of you having to use a ton of virtual buttons. There’s a button for shooting, one for jumping, one for special powers, one for aiming better, one for running, the option to swipe an upper right side icon to change weapon or tap it to reload.

There’s a virtual analog stick on the left side of the screen, that helps you move around, while the right hand control turns the camera. When you finish missions, you get credits, used to buy armor and upgrades. Kal’s powers include paralysis, slowing down time and throwing the enemies away with a quick blast. There’s also a very pleasant multiplayer mode available here, with 12 player battles over 6 multiplayer modes (Team Deatchmatch, Instagib, Capture the Flag and more), on 6 maps. Imagine having a gun, while one of the members in your team uses a mech and an enemy rides around in a buggie and kills everyone. The battles will be on a massive scale, as shown in the video review below.

Enjoy the review, check out the gallery and download the game from Google Play Store, if you want. We give it a 9 out of a 10.
