Mozilla’s Firefox Updated Including an Optimized JavaScript Engine
Today Mozilla has released a major update to its highly popular browser, available on most (if not all) major platforms. The update does not concern adding new features but rather improving on what is already a great piece of software.
Mozilla Firefox is one of the most popular browsers available for free today. You will want to use it on your PC, be it Linux or Windows based, Mac, and our favorite mobile platform – Android. The latest release for the latter includes a faster JavaScript compiler and now comes with Safe Browsing enabled by default. You will find it on the Play Store.
Mozilla’s update to Firefox includes an all new optimized JavaScript engine, for better performance when running intensive tasks like games, in the rowser window. Firefox’s new JavaScript compiler known as IonMonkey is said to be over 25% faster then the older version and offers Retina display support for the 13- and 15-inch MacBook Pro models.
