Mother of Myth Review (HTC Desire 816): Dungeon Crawler Based on Greek Mythology and Playing Cards With Gestures Attached (Video)
While playing with the HTC Desire 816 handset, I’ve also installed a game or two, including Mother of Myth, based on Greek mythology. This is a free title, that feels a bit like God of War, but from a different perspective. It’s offered by Playnery Inc and it’s a dungeon crawler with a pretty high level of difficulty.
You play as a warrior who has a special relationship with some of the Greek gods and rely on playing cards to summon their power. You will trigger special magical attacks with gestures, like drawing a circle on the screen, a Z and other such moves. Each of them calls a ring of fire, a thunder, a wave of water and other elements of the gods. There are also physical attacks, dungeons to explore with repetitive backgrounds and enemies that come in waves.
There are also traps with spikes, chests with loot and some of the chests will actually turn into monsters and attack you, so beware. You will fight goblins and titans, customize your character, level him up and you will touch to move the character and to attack. You will also be able to craft items and the freemium aspect here are the keys required to enter the dungeons.
They will respawn after a while, but also impair your gameplay. Mother of Myth also includes a PvP arena and it’s a nice, hard and repetitive title. There are very few games based on Greek mythology nowadays, so I’ll take what we have! I’ll give this game a 8.2 out of 10 and you can download it here.
