  • Monster Shooter is an interesting title to play, one that’s available for free in the Play Store and features 2D hand drawn graphics. This is dual stick shooter made by Gamelion, it requires Android 2.2 and up and we tested it on a Romanian brand tablet, Allview Alldro 3 Speed. That lower end model ran the game just fine, so it works on just about any device launched over the past 2 years or so.

The story is pretty puerile: the main character had his cat stolen by aliens. You play as DumDum and blast away various species of aliens, using shotguns, plasma riffles, rocket launchers and even grenades. Too bad that the ammo and weapons in this game cost a lot, so that’s why you’re constantly pushed to buy stuff with real money. That’s a pretty big downside to an otherwise appealing title. You can also use a nuke to level the ground and punish the baddies, in case things get hairy.

You’ll find yourself cornered by red and purple aliens, who take a few shotgun blasts till dying. There are also pickups to get from the map, especially health and you’ll also level up during the game, an event that gives you a boost each time. There’s also a Survival mode to see just how long you can go without getting killed. We give the game an 8 out of 10 and you can download it from here.
