  • Although we knew that Modern Combat 5 was coming on July 24th, Gameloft surprised everyone and released it on the 23rd, at least on Android. iOS users may have to wait a big longer, maybe as punishment, because they actually got the game earlier, since it was leaked on torrents in the iOS version days ago.

Anyway, let’s get this out of the way: you can download the game here and you should know that the install package weighs in at about 1 GB. The title is priced at $7 and it’s a high end FPS, that doesn’t feature any in app purchases. It allows you to choose between 4 customizable classes of characters, including Assault, Heavy, Recon and Sniper. You’ll get XP points to upgrade all of them and speaking of upgrades, you can add attachments to your weapons.

The multiplayer features squad vs squad action and the option to chat with other players and coordinate them. The action takes you from Venice to Tokyo and from what I’ve heard the story is very well written this time. Controls are highly customizable and you can unlock higher tier weapons by mastering the lower tier ones. Graphics are superb and reflections, dynamic shadows and all the goodies are enabled here.
