  • Every once in a while, we get to see a crazy project on Kickstarter or Indiegogo that actually makes sense and sounds good. On Android we have a hefty amount of keyboard replacements, but one more can’t hurt, especially one as original as proposes by Minuum.

The idea is not to take up so much screen estate and combine the QWERTY setup into segments of keyboard relegated to a bottom line on the screen. This keyboard is supposed to be a boon for drunk typing, in case that’s a problem you’re facing. Minuum is supposed to be great for drunk texting and it’s excellent for sloppy typers, being designed with them in mind.

The autocorrect engine behind this system is also supposed to be revolutionary, from what we’ve heard. As shown in the video below, Minuum also has the advantage of being present on super small devices, including a smartwatch or Google Glass. Right now Minuum’s project is funded in Indiegogo, reaching $31,000 of its $10,000 goal and there are 29 days to go, so they’re all set.
