  • There’s a ton of music player options for desktop and one name that frankly for me doesn’t ring a bell is MediaMonkey. Apparently, this app is very appreciated in some circles, so appreciated that it lead to an Android app being created.

This app is available in beta phase and it comes with a bunch of features that you may end up appreciating. The beta application has all the features one expects from a mobile music player and it even throws in video support. It comes with podcast support, nice category navigation, even a car-friendly user interface and WiFi syncing. MediaMonkey for Windows takes care of the WiFi syncing with your Android device, apparently.

Wireless sync will bring your play history, playlists, videos and podcasts to your mobile. To take advantage of this you need to have the same fresh beta version of the software on the desktop Windows version of the app as well. Both apps are available for free, but they’re well worth the try. The only catch here? The app is not available in the Play Store, so you have to download the APK file from here.
