  • First day and perhaps most important for us ordinary Google services users has ended. Many announcements, the new Android Jelly Bean, Nexus 7 Tablet and Nexus Q have kept us exited till the end. On the Google Play Store a flurry of updates to the most important applications have arrived, most following the announcements during Google I/O.

    Google I/O 2012

Google Chrome. The final version has finally arrived. Update brings several improvements over the previous Beta version, especially in terms of stability and minor interface changes, especially for tablets.

Google Maps. As rumored before and officially announced during the I/O event, Google Maps now features offline navigation. You can access the new function via the 3 dot menu button and the new option should be now available.

Google Street View. This update brings compass mode for devices with a gyroscope sensor and Android 3.0+, also featured during the Google I/O event.

YouTube. An important update brings changes especially in terms of UI. Videos can now be pre-loaded using the Wi-Fi connection for smoother playback on a slower data connection. You can now control the YouTube playback on other devices and access your watch History across devices.

Google +. The application is now optimized for tablets. The update brings the Events and Party Mode announced during Google I/O. The interface looks cleaner and smoother. Circle management improvements are also worth mentioning.

Depending on your device the updates will be available very soon if they haven’t already.
