  • HTC has proved it can take care of its developer editions for flagship smartphones and also provide the latest updates to the smartphones in its portfolio. The HTC One Developer Edition now comes with a way for users to go back to the stock version of the OS in case something goes wrong.

The HTC One Developer Edition has been announced and launched in the US not so long ago. With it users will get a hold of a device that is easy to unlock and then root or install a custom firmware. Speaking of custom ROMs, HTC now offers the latest RUU – ROM Update Utility to those that want to come back to the stock version of the OS.

In the case of the HTC One the stock version of the software provided by version 4.1 of the RUU is Android 4.1.2. Flowing users have the option to update to the latest released version 4.2.2 that has been barely released. You can download the RUU from the official HTCDev webpage and then use it on your windows machine.
