  • If you’re a Mega user and a Kim Dotcom fan you may want to know that there’s now an official Android app associated to the phenomenon. Beware of unofficial apps and make sure that the software is called Mega from Mega Limited.

The app is available for free and it’s available in version 1.0.2. The Mega Android app allows you to browse the files stored in your Mega account and also upload and download files to your Android device. There’s a Camera Sync option that will automatically backup your images and videos and the Camera Sync option will be off by default, so you can turn it on if you want.

Features of the Mega app include searching, creating folders, moving files from folder to folder and renaming files. You can also create public lines to files in your Mega account. If you haven’t signed up for the Mega services yet, you can get 50 GB of cloud storage for free, but if you want more, there’s a Pro option with 500 GB, 2 TB or 4 TB of space, priced at 9.99 euro, 19.99 euro and 29.99 euro per month.

The app is up for download here.
