  • Junaio is the work of a company called Metaio and it’s a next gen augmented reality browser, that has recently reached a new version. This software is a great source of info about places, events or special prices, for example. Till now augmented reality browser were a pain to use, but now junaio is more intuitive and has the most features and options for users and developers.

Over 5000 active content channels are available and more than twice of that amount of developers are uploading content every day. Location based experiences, QR code scanning, indoor navigation and the ability to overlay 3D and digital content onto day to day stuff like images or objects are all features included here. There’s a nearby feature, showing you what’s hot in your area and a history feature to browse through previous results.

There’s also a list of favourites and the ability to scan around you. Image recognition is supported, as well as logos, QR codes, regular barcodes and there’s even support for adding virtual content on top of real objects. More about that in the trailer below and you can download the app from here for free.
