  • Google Now is the talk of the town these days, with rumors that it will be coming to Google.com soon, but there are alternatives out there, believe me. One of them is called Indigo and it’s a voice assistant that really knows how to carry on a conversation.

The thing about Indigo is that just like Siri it can also answer playful questions. Google Now doesn’t do that, since it has a more serious approach. The folks of Android Police asked the app when Iron Man 3 was coming out, but it must have understood something like “coming out of the closet”, since it declined to answer, which is cute and funny at the same time, if it’s real.

Anyway, the app is in beta phase and it’s available for free on the Play Store. With Indigo you can update your Facebook status via dictation, read tweets and retweet them, find local restaurants and bars and create new diary entries. There’s also the option to play YouTube videos and search the Internet for answers to any question. The app is right here.
