  • If you’re looking to repair your own phone or tablet, you can rely on iFiXit to get it done right. Luckily there’s also a fresh manual from them in the Google Play Store, one made by Dozuki. The software requires Android 2.2 or newer and it was published today in the Store.

It’s a free repair manual, with step by step repair instructions for devices such as MacBooks, MacBook Pro units, PowerBook and iBooks, iPads, iPhones, iPods, Xbox units and PlayStations, but the list is much longer than that. It even includes handsets and many digital cameras. The app is clean, easy to navigate and smooth.

iFixit is also famous for the teardowns it does, so everytime a new phone/tablet is launched, they’re the first to dissect it and give it a rating according to its repairability. Just the other day they opened the Nexus 7 tablet and iFixit was also the first to open up the iPad 3. You can dowload their app from here.
