  • HTC Sense 5.0 and HTC M7 have leaked on the web a lot over the past days and now we also see an interesting leak linked to those. HTC Sense 5.0 was spotted on the HTC Droid DNA, available on Verizon. The image you see below appeared at LeakROMs and only shows a port of the HTC M7 software, not a build of a future update.

However, I’m sure that at some point we’ll see the new HTC Sense arriving on the Droid DNA. HTC Droid DNA is still a very cool smartphone, actually the first 5 inch 1080p handset ever, now selling for just $100 on Amazon Wireless. Of course, it involves a 2 year contract, on Verizon. It’s not that hard to imagine HTC Sense 5.0 on this device, since it does have the same resolution and same CPU and RAM as the M7, more or less.

Such a port is still good news, since it could mean that maybe a custom ROM is brewing out there and may be coming to more devices, capable ones like HTC One X, maybe. I have a feeling that if the interface is too complex, it may require some minimum specs, like maybe a HD screen, leaving out the HTC One S for example, but we’ll have to wait and see. At least HTC is open about custom software…
