Hitman Go Review (ASUS Transformer Pad TF103C): Not the Hitman You Want, but Still a Pretty Good Board Game (Video)
Hitman Go is a title from Square Enix that doesn’t exactly fit in the Hitman series properly, because it totally changes the genre. However, it can hold its own among other board games like itself, because it’s pretty original. The price is $5 and we tested the game on the ASUS Transformer Pad TF103C tablet.
This is a puzzle strategy title, that lets you control Agent 47 as an action figure, that moves around the map on rails. This is a turn based puzzle, that has you sneaking up behind enemies, assassinating them or stealing briefcases. There are clearly traced lines that you must follow in order to reach your goal. There are different ways of completing levels, either by killing everyone, or by sneaking around.
There are 2 or 3 goals to achieve here, either by completing the mission with a few moves or by completing it fast, in a time limit. You can also use a variety of items and areas, likea teleport pad or throw a rock to attract the attention of guards. The level design is very nice here and the maps are quite complex. You can also get hints, as shown by a light bulb at the bottom of the screen. At some point you’ll even pick up a sniper or pistols.
This is not a very hard game, because it’s a sort of trial and error type of title, so you’ll figure everything out in the end. There are 5 chapters here, each with about 15 missions, so there’s a lot of fun to be had. I’ll give the title an 8 out of 10 and you can download it here. It may be Hitman, but not the one we could have had on modern Android devices.
