  • Cloud.tv has just updated its HD Widgets application that goes for about $2 and now it even has the option of adding widgets in Android 4.2’s lockscreen. That’s proved by the screenshot at the end of the article, if you wanted proof.

It appears that this is sort of a trend, since the Beautiful Clock Widgets got a similar feature with support for Android 4.2’s lockscreen widget this week. You have quite a bunch of widgets to choose from, including 11 new widgets in total, 5 for the handset and 6 for tablets. You can customize your lockscreen with them and frankly it was about time, since the lockscreen area felt deserted.

In order to play with HD widgets, you need to meet some requirements, like using a dual core 1.2 GHz device with Android 4.0 ICS, but that’s the recommended setup. The minimum one even involves an Android 2.2 gizmo with 800 MHz processor. The latest updates of the app brought new clock widgets, customizable switches, more weather services and multi location weather screens. You can get the app from here.
