Have the Status Bar Available from Any Android App
Some solutions that you will find on the Store have proven their value and are considered an absolute must for any user. Unfortunately most of these require that your device is rooted so it can gain access to modify how the system behaves. The one I’m about to show you is not among them.
With the Android OS, no matter the version, it is easy to miss out on important notifications when you are in full screen apps, such as games or even the browser with the Labs turned on. For such cases there are a bunch of apps on the Play Store that will work in the background and display the notification over the running app, when it is required. Of course, most provide the ability to change how the notification appears but the thing you can’t control is the high memory usage that most rely on.
Smart Statusbar by Kiumiu.CA is among the options that come as a surprise that the developers haven’t integrated it by default into their handsets. Instead of having a notification appear over what you are doing, the app will have you take your notifications tray with you in all full screen apps. Once there and you want to check something out, a simple swipe from the top side will reveal the statusbar. Thus you can check the time, battery level and any notification that you get. The app’s unique features allow it to work in both portrait and landscape and upon testing it its behavior was flawless, displaying the status bar whenever needed.
