  • There’s not only the Wikipad Android gaming tablet out there, but also the Ouya cube and now yet another handheld Android gaming console. Meet the JXD S5100 Android handheld unit, that goes for $106 and it’s available now. The S5100 gizmo reminds me a bit of a Nintendo DS, but it only has a single screen and no hinged lid.

The product is actually pretty cheap, about half the price of a Nexus 7 and half the specs for that matter. The tiny gadget has a D pad on the left, action buttons on the right, a circle pad on the left again and some other Home and Menu buttons. As far as specs go, we have a 1 GHz Amlogic M3 ARM Cortex A9 CPU as the brain here, plus 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage and a 5 inch display.

WiFi, HDMI output, audio jack and front camera are all on board, plus USB port. You can even emulate old Nintendo, Nintendo 64, GBA and other old school videogame platform. The console runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, with Android 4.0 on its way. In case you want it, you can purchase the item from here.
