  • If you’re looking for a 3D wallpaper that looks cool and possibly involves some sights from outer space, then GyroSpace 3D is for you, in both its free and paid version. Offered by Opotech, this application is basically your average wallpaper, but with 3D planets shown in the background of your device.

You also can move it around, as shown in the video below to get a 3D depth effect on your slate or handset. Multiple themes are available and customizable settings too. It requires Android 2.1 and up and it takes up less than 2 MB. In order to start you need to press on an open area on your homescreen, then select Wallpapers, Live Wallpaper and then pick GyroSpace 3D Free from a list. The paid version costs a bit under $2, in case you want the full features.

The free version offers no options, just default ones. The $1.59 version adds some tweakable settings, like distance, planetary rings, pulsing background and a rotation lock. Be wary that the wallpaper may end up using you resources quite a bit and you have to own a decently powerful device, I guess. You can get the free version from here and the paid one from here.
