  • Gameloft has launched a brand new racing game dubbed GT Racing 2 and this supposed to be a simulator, so the graphics look top notch. The game is available for free and it comes with realistic physics and weather conditions, a driver’s view camera and 28 new challenges every week.

Gameloft included 1,400 events here and 67 licensed cars to have fun with, covering over 30 manufacturers like Ford, Ferrari, Nissan, GM and Dodge, to name just a few. The game works on Android 2.3 and higher devices and it requires 1 GB of storage space, so it’s a big title. This is a freemium title, so it’s riddled with in app purchases for car upgrades and all that, but they’re not required items, so you can play the game without them.

The new physics model applied here is supposed to offer the most realistic car dynamics “ever offered in a handheld game”, according to Gameloft, so I expect this to be some sort of Gran Turismo. Weather conditions will change, as will time of day and you’ll have 4 cameras to choose from. Multiplayer is available here as well, as well as teams with common goals.

There’s steering and braking assistance for new players, so everyone is happy. The game is up for download here.
