  • Google’s My Tacks is one popular and very well designed GPS tracking app that has the ability to record your path, speed, distance, and elevation while you walk, run, bike, or do anything else outdoors. You can use it to keep track of distance traveled while walking or cycling etc. and then upload the route to Maps.

My Tracks is the perfect companion for those who enjoy outdoor activities, letting you record and keep track of statistics such as location on the map, speed, distance, and elevation using the smartphone’s built-in GPS. You can also easily share the data on Facebook, Twitter, or Google+, backup on SD card or upload to Google Drive.

The recent update for My Tracks brought a very useful function: the ability to pause and resume recordings. There is also a major update to the UI and widget, with larger and easier to use buttons.  There are also some improvements to the code for recording track and calculating track statistics.

Download the new version of My Tracks for free from the Play Store.
