  • Not so many days ago, the entire web was criticizing Google for a huge bug in Android 4.2: the lack of December as a month of choice when it comes to People app settings for birthday. Now there’s an Android 4.2.1 update rolling out to the latest Nexus devices, that may fix the issue.

LG Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10 are the first models to get it and it will bring more than the December bug fix. The file is kind of light, so don’t expect too many extras. Bluetooth bug fixes are included and the previously mentioned one, which is all we know for now, but enough to fit in an update that’s less than 2 MB. It was about time for Google to perform this update, seeing how December starts in 4 days and it would have been strange to not allow people to have their birthdays listed in the People area.

In case you haven’t received the OTA update, keep waiting for it and it will come soon enough. In case you did, feel free to tell us if it brings any other extras. Maybe a more optional approach to lockscreen widgets?
