  • When you think of Google Search – Android app it’s so much more then the search engine that also provides the widget on the homescreen. We are talking about Google Now that has benefited from many improvements lately and with the latest version they have taken it where we suspected it would get. I’m talking about the Google Now launcher.

Hot Word detection isn’t something new for chrome on PC when it comes to Google search. What is new is the introduction of it to Android and the change to the OK Google! phrase. This has worked out pretty well and I am among the ones that have and use it on my PC and also on my phone when I need to. But Google Search v. 3.2 comes with support for hotword in British and Canadian English where so far only US accent was supported.

And that is not even the main improvement. Google Now includes its own custom launcher – one step we anticipated with the introduction of Android 4.4 KitKat. It is then that Google launched the Experience Launcher included with the Nexus 5 and then ported to some other devices to enjoy. Well on top of what that launcher brought, the new version brings some more fluid and nice animations along with the expandable cards, tablets now get 6 columns, you can import your icons from your own homescreen and more.

To get it you first need to have the Experience Launcher installed. Then Download the Google Search update version 3.2.
