  • Google has just updated and improved its already awesome Google Search feature and Google Now too. Google Now gets features meant to make your holiday travelling easier, with better suggestions and improved voice actions. The update is meant for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean devices and the improvements are detailed below.

Now Google Now is able to get your boarding pass, only on United Airlines for now right to the smartphone, after finding flight reservations in Gmail. This is optional obviously and other feats include a lot of suggestions when traveling, local places to take pics, the time back home and others. There are also new cards in Google Now, like those for events nearby, suggestions to help users with their search and the ability to search by camera when you’re inside a museum or shop.

Weather at upcoming travel destinations and a monthly summary of walking and biking will be included in the cards. The new voice actions include the option to post on Google+, the ability to say “What’s this song” and find out what song is playing and you can also say “scan a barcode” for the device to do just that. So basically we’ve got Shazam and Google Goggles voice controlled now… Get the latest Voice Search from here.
