  • Google has announced that there are now around 700,000 apps available to download from the Play Store in free or payed form. The sum represents a great evolution for the OS and it shows that developer interest is at it’s best level. The Google OS has become the choice of many, with it fast updates and great number of devices of all shapes and prices.

Apple also announced during their latest event that iTunes Store has more than 700,000 apps available. With Google reaching the same number, the competition between the two OS’s is as close as ever. In the end it is the regular user who benefits from the large number of available options. A Google employee also stated, during a recent interview, that they do not pay developers for making apps, as is the case with other manufacturers. With Android app makers are given the choice to do whatever they desire, without restrictions or boundaries.

700.000 apps is a great number. We will watch it grow over the coming weeks, hopefully to exceed all expectations.
