  • Google has again decided to update its most popular music service for Android called Google Play Music. They have also released a small update for Google+. Both are available as free downloads on the Google Play Store.

Google Play Music has been bumped up to version 4.5.910I.560208. I now, it’s a long version number but that is what it is. We expect to see a lot of updates for the Google apps, especially this year when we might even get a new version of the Android OS – Key Lime Pie. Meanwhile these updates are mainly for maintenance and while they do solve some issues in terms of features the’re pretty poor.

For Google Music the developer has added improved the feature is has added a while ago called instant mixes. It can now continue playing beyond 25 song and there is the added ability to shuffle an album, artist or playlist. The default album art has been changed and the widget now (finally) offers a back button. Pinning progress now shown on album and playlist pages and the latest version also contains important fixes for the Galaxy S III.
