  • Google Play Music is the service launched this year that competes with Apple’s service for offering the purchasing of songs mainly in the US and Europe. It also offers users users the ability to upload as many as 20.000 songs to a server that will make them available everywhere and on every device, at any time.

The Google Play Music has greatly evolved since the official launch and while it cannot offer the same quality as Apple does, it’s still in its early stages and has great potential. Google is struggling to evolve the availability of the service in Europe, where most Google services are still developing.

Google Inc. has reached a licensing dealwith representatives of European music publishers and will now offer over 5.5 million songs to its offer in Europe. The service will be available in 35 countries with artists including Lady Gaga and Rihanna. Armonia states the alliance of French, Italian and Spanish licensing groups is billed as the broadest of its kind.
