  • Google Play Music is getting an update, that takes it up to version 5.2.1204L and this enhancement brings it the ability to create new radio stations. The stations will be based on music genres and previously the radio feature was only available to use with songs, artists or past listening history.

You will need an All Access subscription for unlimited use, though. iRadio and Pandora are already offering genre-based station features, so this is a welcome feature in Google Music. The update allows you to pause, resume and cancel songs that are being downloaded at a certain time. In order to mess with the Genre Radio, you need to go to Radio or Explore and pick a favourite genre, then enjoy the music.

We’ve got a new download queue, that supports pausing, resuming and canceling the downloads. The app is up for download here and it gives you access to unlimited songs, smart recommendations based on tests and the ability to add up to 20k songs to your collection.
