  • We barely posted the APK for version 3.9.16 of the Google Play Store and the official version has started rolling out. It brings some highly requested features. The update should roll out silent and you should see the new version number when going in the Play Store settings and scroll down to Build Version.

The new version for the Google Play Store brings a redesigned icon for updates. After updating on installing an app you will see the apps original icon in the notifications bar. Google also included expandable notifications for when you have a number of app updates available.

The highlights on the version  version 3.9.16 of the Google Play Store are two to be exact. The first is the ability to remove apps from the “All” list of apps you have or had previously installed. Multiple selection is also available by taping and holding down on an app then selecting others. Another highlight is actually to be considered a fix. You are no longer taken to the top of the list when searching an app, accessing one alternative and pressing the back key.

One tip, if the update hasn’t shown yet, either download the APK by hitting the link above or go to Settings on your smartphone, Apps – All, find Google Play Store and tap on it. After that just hit back and the update should arrive shortly.
