  • This may not be much of a piece of news, but it appears that Google has leaked the widget for Google Now on its support page, through the image you see below. This answers the desires of many Android fans, who wanted such a feature on their devices.

The idea goes like this: you place the widget on the homescreen and at just a click away lays a relevant section from Google Now. It may show how far you are from home, what the weather is like or stock prices. The widget will be populated by Google Now card preferences it seems. No idea when this will be applied or when it will come, but not with Android 4.2.2, since that’s already here and there’s no trace of the feature.

It may be part of the Android 5.0 Key Lime update, that’s supposed to come in May at Google I/O 2013, if everything goes fine. It could also come separately, thorough an Android application in the Google Play Store. In the meantime Google has already pulled the support page, in case you’re wondering.
