Google Now Features Olympics Cards and New Commands

  • Google Now got a bit of an update this week, bringing it new functionality. That includes event reminders, new voice commands and quick access to Olympics and all the data related to it.


    There are new voice commands, that allow you to make calls, send text messages to the contacts and more. The commands accept intelligent contextual uses found in the Search, apparently. To show an example, if you tell the app to call your brother, it will figure out which of the contacts is actually listed as the “brother” and call him. How cool is that?

    There are also a few new languages used to set reminders in Google Now, like French, Japanese, Korean and German. There’s a new Olympics card, that’s filled with quick access to standings and news, plus a chronological list of the events taking place in Sochi. One billion users have Google Search installed, so this is a big deal in the end…
