Google I/O 2013 Scheduled for May 15th – 17th; Debut of Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie Expected Then
While CES 2013 and MWC 2013 are probably being prepared right now, with booked booths and organizing various events, Google I/O will happen later on, but it already has a certain date. The event will take place on between May 15th and the 17th and it will most likely mark the unveiling of Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
Recently we’ve seen Google employee Manu Cornet posting on his Google+ account a cartoon showing the green Android eating a key lime pie slice, a pretty clear indication of what’s coming. Thousands of people will be participating in the I/O event from next year, scheduled to take place at the Moscone Center West. The price of the tickets reached $1000 at the I/O 2012 event, that sold out even faster than the 2011 event. Attendees had first hands on experiences with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, a cool demo of Google Glass and great developer sessions.
Expectations include announcements regarding the Chrome OS project, Google TV and the Nexus Q. We may also see a new Nexus tablet or maybe even a new phone. I wouldn’t mind seeing that rumored HTC and Sony Nexus devices that we were supposed to see this fall.
