  • Google I/O 2013 is only a week away, with the conference set to start on May 15th and with it comes a special app related to the event. The app is obviously called Google I/O 2013 and it comes with some new features for people attending the big show, but also for virtual attendees.

There’s live streaming available off site and in the app, which is a very cool feature. Google added automatic WiFi setup and attendee badge scanning using NFC, plus syncing between devices when it comes to schedule. Vector based maps, session info and a lockscreen and widget for the app are all included to make things easier.

There’s even a HDMI video out option for live streams include in the app and it relies on Google+ for login. By the way, if you want to have a glance, the keynote starts at 9 AM PST on May 15th and app is available for download here, if you’re interested.
