  • As you probably know already and feel, this month is filled with tech events. We’ve had the WWDC 2012 Apple event, the Microsoft Surface tablet unveiling, Windows Phone 8 unveiling and next is the Google I/O 2012 event. That takes place between June 27th and the 29th. To celebrate the event, there’s now an official app in Google Play Store.

The app requires Android 2.2 and takes up 2.2 MB. Obviously, it’s free and a reason to get it is to be one of the first people to find out about the Google Nexus Tablet, supposed to launch at I/O. Anyway, know that this app shows you the conference agenda for the event, gives you the ability to edit your personal schedule and you can view detailed sessions, code lab and speaker information.

Speaker bios are included in the app, photos too and even their Google+ profiles. You can also participate in public I/O 2012 conversations on Google+. People can also guide themselves using the conference map and set reminders before the sessions. Another nifty feature is the one that allows playback of I/O live session video streams on Android 3.0+ devices. You can download it from here.
