Google Glass Fans Have to Wait Till 2014 for the Headset
It appears that if you really want to purchase the Google Glass device, you’ll have to wait at least one more year, according to The Telegraph. They’re saying that Google chairman Eric Schmidt told the BBC Radio 4 that the company will release the Glass to the general public in about one year.
This means that in early to mid 2014 we’ll finally get to play with the pair of glasses/headset. The product has been teased a lot till now, being worn by Google officials and used for skydiving and other nifty promos. This device is capable of projecting images and date onto users’ eyes and it comes with a 640 x 360 pixel display, 16 GB of storage and a microUSB port, plus a 5 megapixel camera capable of 720p video capture.
Google wanted to release the Glass in 2013, but the launch timeline was pushed, maybe to perform an update or maybe because trials found a problem or a bug. Who knows really? Maybe those lucky guys who spent $1500 on the first developer editions of the headset….
