  • Google Glass has already started reaching some of its early adopters and with it came the MyGlass companion app, that contributed to accidental leaks regarding future Google services. It appears that the big G is preparing something for gamers.

Google forgot to tidy up the software before public distribution, so you can find interesting hints a Google Play services that don’t exist yet. An interesting aspect of this leak is the presence of a folder simply marked Games. That folder hints at a sort of online gaming service and it includes mentions of gaming lobbies, leaderboards, messaging services, achievements and invitations.

Timestamps go back to last month, so this seems to be a project that Google has been working on recently. They’re probably trying to come up with a rival for Apple’s game center or the Xbox Live and they should be careful here, since not even Sony with its cool PS Network has been able to find a decent solution in this area.
