Google Drive Gets Updated to Include Streaming Video Support and More
As a long term Dropbox user I found it rather hard to accept another online storage option, this time from Google, as I had no choice. Later on, when the prices were announced I immediately dropped Dropbox and went with Google Drive for all that it offers.
Not only is Google Drive cheaper then most of its competitors but also packed with features and an option that has grown at a very fast rate since it was launched. I wouldn´t recommend another service for new-comers in the online storage market and for other services users I would recommend they look twice. As for the Google Drive official app for the mobile platform, first launched on Android and soon after on iOS, it has been greatly improved since Google I/O last year.
For the latest version of Google Drive for Android, the giant developer has decided to integrate streaming video support for devices running Android Honeycomb and above. Google has also greatly optimized the performance of the app in all key areas and it´s even more responsive now, even if it didn´t have problems in this regard before. Version 1.1.592.10 adds pinch to zoom support in presentation viewer and the usual bug fixes and improvements. It is already available on the Play Store.
