Google Drive for Android Updated Including Spreadsheet Editing

  • Since it’s launch, Google Drive has been increasing in popularity as one of Google’s most used services. Drive now integrates Google Docs that are now safe kept in the Drive folder with 5 GB of space available for free, though expansion options are highly affordable.


    One feature that has been missing with the mobile version of Google Drive for Android, was the ability to edit spreadsheets. With Google Drive version 1.1.470.11 it is now possible to edit Google spreadsheets in new native editor and also edit contents of tables in Google Docs editor.

    The functions mentioned above are just the cherry of the cake that is the latest update for the app. Following, Google Drive has included a fix for formatting not being maintained when copy/pasting within Google Docs. You can now add a shortcut to Drive files/folders to your homescreen for quick access and send Link now supports copying link to clipboard. It is now also possible with a single tap to enter edit mode in Google Docs editor.
